Q: When I borrow a book, how long can I keep it?

A: All books have a two week lending period.  Patrons may request a renewal for up to two additional two week lending periods for a total of six weeks.  We do not automatically renew materials, so patrons must let the library staff know (see below for renewal contact information) if they would like to renew a book for two weeks before the due date.

Q: When I borrow an audio book, how long can I keep it?

A: All audio books have a two week lending period.  Patrons may request a renewal for up to two additional two week lending periods for a total of six weeks.  We do not automatically renew materials, so patrons must let the library staff know (see below for renewal contact information) if they would like to renew an audio book for two weeks before the due date.

Q: When I borrow a movie, how long can I keep it?

A: All movies have a one week lending period.  We do not renew movies.

Q: What if the library is closed when I want to return my library materials?

A: There is a drop box in the entry area of the library that is accessible 24 hours per day, including weekends and holidays.  Patrons my drop library materials in the box any time, but if materials are dropped in the box after hours on the day the item(s) are due, there may be an overdue fine.

Q: How do I contact the library to request a renewal?

A: You may stop by the library during regular hours or you can call the library at 347-3147.  You can also request a renewal by sending an email to mvpld@cwomc.com.  Please be sure to include your name and that you are requesting a renewal in the body of the email.
