Adult Maker Class – Mosaic Tile Trivet – Tues., March 28th @ 5:30pm – Teacher – Audrey Crogh
During this class, we will be making an oval tile trivet. There is a variety of tile colors and colors will be available on a first come first served basis. This class is for ages 16 & up. Cost is $20 per person. All materials will be provided. There is only room for 10 participants, so sign-up soon!
Spring Bake Sale – April 1st – April 29th – Mondays – Fridays 11am to 6pm & Saturdays 11am – 2pm
Drop by the library anytime in during the month of April and buy some yummy homemade goodies at our annual Friends of the Library Spring Bake Sale. All proceeds will benefit the library. Come buy a tasty home-made treat and support your library! Fresh new items weekly. We are also looking for baked good/treat donations so we have plenty of yummy stuff to sell! Let us know if you would like to help out.

Special Week of the Young Child Story Time – Wednesday, April 12th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Join us for our Owl themed story time during the Week of the Young Child celebrations. At the library, we will be reading some owl themed books, creating an owl ornament craft and having owl cupcakes for treat. Guest reader Marlene Clark will be here in a fun owl costume so don’t miss out! As always, story time is free and all ages are welcome!
Adult Maker Class – Sourdough & Labneh Cheese – Tues., April 11th @ 6:00pm Teacher – Mike Davis
This presentation will go over how to get started using sourdough and in particular how to keep it alive and active without making it the center of your life. Participants will be given a sourdough start to take home at the end of the presentation as well as a how-to handout and some good basic sourdough recipes. In addition, participants will learn how to make Labneh a Middle Eastern yoghurt cheese that is simple to make and has a wonderful taste as well as many uses; including as a substitute for cream cheese. Labneh is probiotic. There
will be a take home how-to handout and some cheesecloth to use in making your Labneh. After the presentations there will be some samples of sourdough flatbread and Labneh cheese to try. This class is for ages 16 & up and is free to attend. All materials will be provided. There is only room for 8, so sign-up soon!
Volunteer Appreciation Open House – Monday, April 17th from 11:00am to 6:00pm
Drop by the library any time and help us thank our volunteers! Sign the giant thank you poster, play some fun games, enter a raffle, take a survey, enjoy a treat or just visit the library and say “hi” to staff! Something fun for all ages – everyone welcome.
